Cancellation and Refund Policy

CONTRACT PRICE INCREASE

In the event of a price increase in the contract amount, no additional difference shall be requested from the consumer, nor shall any discounts referred to as “actions” by the facility be refunded to the consumer. However, in overseas package tours where the contract price is determined in foreign currency, if extraordinary increases occur in exchange rates, changes arise in taxes, duties, fees, or similar legal obligations collected at ports, airports, or similar locations, or extraordinary increases occur in transportation costs including fuel expenses (a price increase exceeding 2% shall be considered extraordinary), the Consumer acknowledges and accepts that Senior Travel Turkey has the right to make changes to prices and conditions, provided that such changes do not exceed 5% of the contract price.

DEPOSIT SYSTEM

A deposit (also known as a down payment) is a certain percentage paid when purchasing a product or service in order to reserve it in your name for a specified period. Until the sale transaction is completed, the product or service is reserved for the customer.

Refund of the deposit is only possible if the seller withdraws from the sale or if the service cannot be provided. If the buyer is unable to participate in the tour or exceeds the cancellation, refund, or postponement period stipulated in the package tour contract, the buyer shall have no right to a refund of any deposit or total payment.

In case of cancellations made by the consumer less than 15 days before the commencement of the service, the consumer declares, accepts, and undertakes to pay the full reservation amount to Senior Travel Turkey.

If the consumer fails to participate in the tour after making a reservation by paying a deposit—without notifying the agency of a force majeure reason and without approval of cancellation, refund, or postponement by the agency—the consumer declares, accepts, and undertakes to pay Senior Travel Turkey the remaining balance after deduction of the deposit.

TRANSFER OF SERVICE

If the consumer is unable to continue with the purchased tour/accommodation/service, they may transfer their reservation to a third party who meets all contractual requirements, provided that they notify Senior Travel Turkey at least 7 days prior to the departure date for daily tours and at least 15 days prior for accommodation-based tours.

In such cases, the transferring and receiving parties shall be jointly and severally liable to Senior Travel Turkey for any outstanding balance and all additional costs arising from the transfer.

For tours involving air transportation, transfers are subject to the cancellation and change conditions of the relevant airline. Especially for international tours, visa fees shall not be refunded if visa procedures have already been completed. Visa responsibility for the transferee lies solely with the transferee.

If consumers fail to obtain a visa—even if they have applied—by the tour start date, Senior Travel Turkey bears no responsibility and shall collect the full tour price jointly from both the transferring and receiving parties. If the transferee does not hold the same status as the transferor, the transfer shall not be completed, or any special discounts granted shall be revoked.

RIGHTS OF MODIFICATION

Significant changes made to the contract prior to the commencement of the package tour/service for reasons not attributable to the Consumer—excluding price and change conditions stated in Article 5 of the sales contract—shall be considered material contract changes.

Such material changes and their effects on price shall be promptly communicated to the Consumer/Participant by Senior Travel Turkey in writing and/or via a durable data storage medium.

Upon notification, the Consumer/Participant may either accept the changes or notify Senior Travel Turkey in writing or via durable data storage that they do not accept the changes, thereby exercising one of the following rights:

a) Participate in another package tour of equal or higher value offered by Senior Travel Turkey without additional payment
b) Participate in a lower-value package tour with a refund of the price difference
c) Withdraw from the contract without any compensation obligation

If the Consumer/Participant withdraws from the contract, the paid amount shall be refunded in full, without any deductions, within 30 days from the date the withdrawal notice reaches Senior Travel Turkey.

If the Consumer/Participant fails to respond to the notification or does not specify which right they are exercising, they shall be deemed to have accepted the notified changes, including price increases. Failure to participate in the tour shall not entitle the Consumer to a refund or reduction of fees, and the paid amount shall be deemed a withdrawal compensation.

If Senior Travel Turkey cancels the tour/service prior to commencement for reasons not attributable to the Consumer/Participant, the Consumer/Participant may exercise the rights listed above.

FAILURE TO COMMENCE OR CONTINUE THE SERVICE

Despite exercising due care, Senior Travel Turkey shall not be held liable for failure to commence or continue the tour/service due to the following reasons:

a) Fault of the Consumer
b) Unexpected and unavoidable behavior of a third party not involved in the performance of the contract
c) Force majeure
d) Events that could not be foreseen or prevented despite due care by the organizer, agent, or independent service provider
e) Failure to reach the minimum required number of participants, provided that cancellation is communicated at least 30 days prior to tour commencement

If such circumstances arise before the tour begins, Senior Travel Turkey may cancel, postpone, or offer an alternative tour by notifying the Consumer in writing or via a durable data storage medium.

If the Consumer does not accept postponement or an alternative tour, Senior Travel Turkey shall cancel the tour and refund payments made to date, excluding official expenses (taxes, fees, etc.).

If force majeure occurs after the tour has commenced, Senior Travel Turkey’s responsibility shall be limited to returning the Consumer to the tour’s starting point, with no further liability for refunds or compensation.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND CONDITIONS

Cancellations made up to 60 days before service commencement shall be refunded, excluding mandatory taxes, fees, and non-refundable payments made to third parties.

If cancellation is made:

  • 59–31 days prior: 25% of the reservation fee
  • 30–15 days prior: 50% of the tour price
  • 14–7 days prior: 75% of the tour price
  • Less than 7 days prior: 100% of the tour price

shall be payable to Senior Travel Turkey.

For special periods (New Year, school holidays, public holidays) or promotional products, cancellation and refund rights shall not apply.

Visa fees are non-refundable once issued. Airline-related cancellations are subject to the airline’s terms. If a service change is requested and approved, any price difference must be paid immediately. If the new service is cheaper, no refund shall be made.

FORCE MAJEURE

If the Consumer notifies Senior Travel Turkey less than 30 days before commencement due to an unforeseeable event or force majeure, and submits supporting documentation, payments shall be refunded excluding mandatory legal costs and non-refundable third-party payments.

If such circumstances arise during the tour, documentation must be submitted immediately upon departure. Failure to notify participation in a missed service shall entitle Senior Travel Turkey to cancel all reservations after 24 hours, without any refund.

SIGNATURE STAGE

As the customer is a foreign national, this agreement shall be translated into the customer’s native language. Two copies—one in Turkish and one in the customer’s language—shall be signed with wet signatures by both parties.
